- CannyCask operates under UK regulations and holds a valid HMRC WOWGR approval, ensuring legal compliance for bonded whisky cask ownership and transfers.
- All partners undergo Know Your Business (KYB) checks, and all customers are KYC/AML-verified before purchasing or holding a cask.
Full Ownership, Not Fractional
- Every NFT on our platform represents a full physical cask. We do not deal in fractional ownership. When you buy a cask through CannyCask, you own the entire cask.
- All ownership is legally documented and matched on-chain and in our regulated warehouse partners’ ledgers.
Verified Custody & Asset Security
- All crypto payments are handled via BitGo Enterprise Custodial Wallets — the same standard used by institutional-grade financial services.
- Fiat custody is managed via Revolut Business, with whitelisted transfers from BitGo to ensure settlement security.
- Where required, CannyCask operates segregated enterprise sub wallets under its BitGo Enterprise account, providing ring fenced custody and read only transparency for institutional partners, without altering CannyCask’s signing control or security posture.
On-Chain Transparency
- Every cask NFT includes metadata hosted on IPFS, and all verification events (such as QA validation or recooperage) are recorded immutably on Polygon blockchain.
- Our smart contract infrastructure ensures that buyers can verify provenance, re-casking history, and transfer logs.
Warehousekeeper Partnerships
- Casks are only stored in verified bonded warehouses, and we work directly with warehousekeepers to validate cask existence and quality.
- Our patented verification model allows for co-signing of NFTs by warehousekeepers, anchoring physical reality to the digital record.

- In the rare event of a dispute, CannyCask provides direct human support and documented legal ownership proof.
